THE 7 HEAVENLY VIRTUES

  1. Prudence ~ is the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason.
  2. Justice ~ is the moderation between selfishness and selflessness.
  3. Fortitude ~ is the endurance, mental firmness and strength to do what is right, despite (its) adversity or temptation.
  4. Temperance ~ Voluntary self restraint from acting on strong emotions.
  5. Faith ~ is the sense of the goodness of God, and trust that goodness will prevail in the end, and the value of goodness for its own sake.
  6. Hope ~ is the optimism that a better future will exist through the virtue of living with faith.
  7. Charity ~ is the generosity and compassionate giving to others.

THE 7 DEADLY SINS

  1. Pride ~ is the sense of one's own self-importance over the importance of others.
  2. Envy ~ is the discontent of one's own life, and is (typically) the longing for the qualities or possessions of others' lives.
  3. Wrath ~ is the animation of strong emotions related to anger, provocation, hurt and violence.
  4. Gluttony ~ is the overconsumption of resources to the point of waste, and in disregard to the needs of others.
  5. Lust ~ is the strong desire for sexual pleasure, especially when it leads to action that forsakes one's values for gratification.
  6. Sloth ~ is the laziness associated with apathy for spiritual improvement or contributing to one's society.
  7. Greed is the insatiable desire for material gain or social power, especially when pursued at the expense of others.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
A lot of these values and sins place emphasis on how our actions can either hurt or bless others. I do believe our desire for positively impacting the conscious souls around us should extend to animals!
